SMOKE CURTAINS
Products
We manufacture, install, and maintain fire and smoke curtains.
E-Class Fire Curtains
E-Class fire curtains are systems that create a fire-resistant section to prevent the spread of fire from one compartment to another. They are designed to stop the spread of smoke and flames for a specified period (time given in minutes) but do not provide protection against heat radiation passing through the curtain.
The primary purpose of the curtain is to limit the spread of fire, enable safe evacuation, and protect property.

EW-Class Fire Curtains
EW-Class fire curtains are systems designed to create fire-resistant sections to prevent the spread of fire from one compartment to another. These curtains stop the spread of smoke and flames while also limiting the transmission of heat radiation for a specified period (time given in minutes). The limit for heat radiation is set at 15 kW/m² at a distance of one meter from the curtain. The primary purpose of the curtain is to restrict the spread of fire and heat radiation, ensure safe evacuation, and protect property.

Smoke Curtains
A smoke curtain is a system that creates a barrier to prevent the spread of smoke within a smoke zone. Its primary function is to limit the movement of smoke and hot gases from one smoke zone to another. Smoke curtains are classified into D-class and DH-class. D-class curtains maintain the integrity of the barrier at temperatures up to 600ºC. DH-class curtains maintain the integrity of the barrier at temperatures exceeding 600ºC. These curtains are primarily designed to limit smoke spread and enable safe evacuation.

Components

A standard Flameguard Systems fire curtain kit includes the following:

  1. Control unit
  2. Tubular motor
  3. Protective casing
  4. Tubular shaft
  5. Guide rails
  6. Bottom weight bar
  7. Fire-resistant fabric
  8. Evacuation button
Automation
In standby mode, the curtain is rolled up inside the protective casing. Upon receiving an alarm signal, the curtain descends to its operational position, which is down to the floor.
In the event of a false alarm, the system can be reset either manually or automatically.
  • Manual reset: The curtain remains in its operational position until the user gives a command by pressing a button.
  • Automatic reset: Once the alarm system is restored, the curtain automatically returns to its standby position.
  • The system's control unit is equipped with a backup power supply.
Installation Methods
Fire curtains can be installed in buildings in various ways. The protective casing of the curtain can be mounted either in front of the opening or inside the opening, and it can also be suspended using brackets as needed. The side guides can be installed in front of the opening, inside the opening, or recessed.
At the client's request, all metal parts can be coated with powder paint, with the color selection available from the RAL catalog.
