Fire safety inspection

As of March 2021, owners of major office buildings, industrial and warehouse buildings and garages will have to hold a fire safety review. The inspection shall be carried out once every three years and the person conducting the inspection shall enter the data in the fire safety inspection portal.
Fire safety inspection must be carried out:
- in an office building with a surface area exceeding 750 m2
- industrial and storage buildings with an area exceeding 1000 m2
- garage with a surface area exceeding 1000 m2

The safety manager performs a general inspection at the construction site at least once a week, during which the maintenance of the construction site and the work equipment used in the construction work, including scaffolding, ladders and lifting equipment, and compliance with occupational health and safety requirements are checked. On the construction site, the movement routes and their marking shall be checked and maintained if necessary; firmness and strength of work platforms; electrical installations which may be affected by precipitation; hazard labels; the use of personal protective equipment, storage of hazardous substances and combustible materials; the existence and maintenance of primary fire extinguishing equipment; the safety of excavation works; safety and competence of high-performance works; safety and competence of fire works; compliance with environmental requirements, etc. reports shall be drawn up on the inspections carried out at the construction site, which shall set out the persons who participated in the inspection, the time of the inspection, the deficiencies discovered and any suggestions for improvement.

Internal control of the working environment

The auditee must be able to answer the question whether the requirement laid down by law is fulfilled in the enterprise, the activities prescribed are organised and how does this work in practice? Depending on the specificities of the enterprise or agency, compliance with all requirements of the Act may not be necessary and will be ascertained during internal control. In order to carry out internal control, it is necessary to determine who and when any activities related to internal control are to be carried out and the responsibilities for managing the business environment.

Fire safety audit

We carry out fire safety audits on individual homes, auxiliary buildings, apartment buildings, as well as industrial, office and assembly buildings. Fire safety audit begins by examining the fire safety documentation of the construction work and is followed by an inspection of the object. The state and structures of fire safety installations shall also be checked during the inspection. As a result, a fire safety audit will be completed. If fire safety deficiencies occur, we will advise on their elimination. In addition, if necessary, we can provide assistance in remedying the identified shortcomings.

Expert assessment of heating systems

First, it provides the owner of the building with the necessary information on the safety of the use of fireplaces and explains whether a modification or repair of the heating system is necessary. Secondly, the expert assessment of the heating system is one of the many documents needed in the application process. Expert assessment of heating systems and heating fireplaces usually involves first checking of heating equipment and assessing the integrity thereof. In addition, the following aspects are also important:
- inspection of stacks;
- inspection of connecting flues;
- assessment of the conformity of the heating system with building requirements, including fire safety requirements;
- integrity of fire compartments;
- review of existing documentation of heating system.
