Maintenance of fire safety equipment and installations is not an option but an obligation
Fire safety equipment should only be serviced by qualified specialists. Proper maintenance is essential for the detection of a fire and the requirements arising from the law are strict. The owner or possessor of the building shall be responsible for the maintenance of the systems: ATS must be inspected quarterly and thoroughly maintained once a year, while sprinkler and fire-extinguishing systems must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The integrity of fire protection zones and the cleanliness of the ventilation pipes must also be checked regularly. It is important to comply with safety requirements so that systems operate efficiently. Failure to comply with the maintenance obligation affects the entire enterprise – assets, employees, partners and insurance.
