Ukrainian DU shelter doors

Bullet-proof windows provide effective protection against various ballistic threats by meeting international standards such as: NIJ 0108.01 (US), EN 1522 (until FB7, Europe) and NATO STANAG 4569. The windows are made up of advanced laminated glass and composite materials that can also brake large-caliber ammunition.

Explosion and gas resistant emergency evacuation hatches is intended to ensure safe escape routes in crisis situations. These hatches are life-saving components in safe spaces, ensuring a fast and safe exit option even under the most extreme conditions.

• Reinforced frames and locking systems for maximum security

• Easy-to-handle mechanisms, enabling rapid opening in the event of an emergency

• Gas-tight seals, preventing the entry of contaminated air, chemicals or smoke

• High overpressure tolerance and resistance to extreme weather and environmental conditions

Finnish type SO1 and SO2 have strong metal explosion and gas-resistant shelter doors, with optional fragmentation protection available. These doors are designed in accordance with Finnish standards for civil protection shelters

Main characteristics:

• Meet the requirements of Finnish civil protection standards

• The door sheet is made of a single-layer metal plate 20 mm or 30 mm thick (optional – other options available on a bespoke basis)

• Standard measures: 900 × 2000 mm and 1200 × 2000 mm (can also be made in the measures requested by the contracting entity)

• Construction tolerates 200 kN/m ² (2 bar) blast wave pressure, according to Finnish shelter standards

• Hinges and locking mechanism withstand explosion forces and setbacks

• Shock barriers have been added to the door to make it durable until 30 g for impact loads

• Door closed gas resistant, in order to prevent the entry of dangerous gases and to enable sheltering overpressurisation

• Optional fragmentation protection SO-1S on a model with a door sheet of at least 30 mm thick (compared to the standard 20 mm thickness on the SO-1 model)

• Door frame is for pouring in standard 300 mm concrete wall, but can also be adapted to thicker walls

Main characteristics:

• Tested in shock tube until 6 bar pressure.

• Resistance to corrosion (1,440 hours in salt spray test).

• Self-activated closing and opening mechanism.

• Available on a custom scale up to 2000 × 2400 mm.

• Certified for use in hazardous environments.
